5 1/2 Month Checkup

Well, I said that I would post how the doctor's appointment went, so here it is. There was really nothing new. I am now at 22 1/2 weeks, but am measuring at 27 weeks. When the doctor came in, he asked how big I felt. I've never been pregnant before, so I wasn't quite sure what to say other than pretty big. But, I guess I should feel big - at least a little. I know, though, that I am only going to get bigger. So, when I look back at this in a few months, I will probably laugh because I said I felt big :).

The main thing I got out of this appointment was that the time is going by very quickly and that in only a few months, we will be meeting our new baby boys. I will go back in a month and then start going every couple of weeks after that. At that point, I'll be watched very closely to make sure Hayden & Carson don't plan on coming any earlier than they need to (as twins sometimes like to do).

In a couple of weeks, I'll have some new pictures of the boys. We are going to do the 3D/4D ultrasound for fun.

We Are Half-Way There!!!!

This past week was the 20-week mark for me. I am very excited because that means we are (at least) half-way to the day we will see our baby boys. I really don't have any new information to share, but thought that this week deserved it's own post. Also, I have been putting it off, but I finally decided to put a picture of myself with my "bump" up here (for those of you wondering what I look like). Hayden & Carson (and I) are really growing, and I know we have a lot more to go!

Everything still seems to be going fine. My newly found energy has started to dwindle a little. The boys are becoming a little heavier - but mostly only when I do too much. I think I still get around really well, but I just can't get around very much :). I have started feeling them (or at least what I think are them) a little each day. They haven't hauled off and punched me or anything, but I do think they like to tumble around.

We have still not finalized our plans for the cribs or bedding. Being picky, I can't find exactly what I want. Being one who likes to plan, I am going crazy not having it already decided. Hopefully we will figure it out soon! We have, however, starting registering for a few things, so at least some decisions are being made :). Once we get our nursery set up, I'll post some pictures for you to see.

My next doctor's appointment is in a couple of weeks. We won't get an ultrasound this time, but I'll still post how everything goes.
