Happy 2nd Birthday Hayden & Carson!

Two years ago today, my two wonderful little boys entered this world. Our lives haven't been the same since! They have learned so much, and I have learned so much. It has been a wonderful journey so far. I can't imagine my life without them.

As you know (or have probably guessed if you didn't know), today is their birthday. It started out with Gran bringing them blueberry muffins, which they love. They got to go for a car ride and then back home to play and rest up for when Mommy and Daddy got home. When Phillip and I got off work, we took the boys out to eat at Cracker Barrel. They seemed to enjoy it and wanted to rock. So, when we were finished eating, we sat outside and rocked a while in the rocking chairs. Then, we went to Build-A-Bear. I have always wanted to take the boys there, but haven't because I wasn't sure they were ready, but hoped that now they were. They really enjoyed looking through everything, but when it came to actually picking out stuff, they really didn't seem to care, so they had a little help from us. Carson got a dog and Hayden got a bear (one of 3 choices I gave him). They loved stepping on the pumps and then giving the animals a bath. I think one of the most fun parts to them was carrying their new friends out in their boxes! When we got in the car, we got the animals out and Hayden didn't want his bear, but (typical of Hayden) wanted Carson's dog. And, Carson wanted Hayden's bear, so they switched. It is funny that they ended up with each other's stuff - I guess they made birthday presents for one another :). At least they are happy!

Here are the boys at Build-A-Bear. Hayden really enjoyed giving the bear a bath - he even talked about it when we got home. Carson loved stepping on the pumps and running around trying to see what he could get in to.

All in all, I think they had a good birthday - they even said so when we asked them. On Saturday we will have their birthday party. So, you can expect to see more pictures from that soon (probably not Saturday night, but hopefully not too long after that :)).
