Our house is now a paci-free zone! Right before the boys' second nap on Friday I told them that this would be the last time they got to have their pacifier, and to enjoy it. When they got up from their nap, they kept it for a little bit, but then Phillip got them. First, he was playing with Hayden and Hayden handed it to him and he put it up. Then, he asked Carson to bring his paci to him, and he did. When we put the boys down for bed, they (mainly Hayden) cried off and on for 30 minutes or so - much shorter than I thought. However, Carson woke up around 3:00 crying and of course, woke Hayden up. We were up for a little bit with them, but then put them back down. Phillip says Carson cried for over an hour (I somehow fell asleep). The next day, they had 2 one-hour naps (they usually have 2 two-hour naps). It didn't take them too long to get to sleep Saturday night (being so tired probably helped), and they slept all night! I was SO happy. On Sunday, they had a 3 hour nap (somewhat typical because they miss their first nap), and then slept all night again.
All in all, they are doing good. They still fuss when you put them down to sleep, but not for too long - only a couple of minutes. I didn't really know what to expect, but from what I hear, they are doing really good. I just hope I found all of the pacifiers we have in the house and they don't find one and we have to start over!
I am going to try to get a picture of my "big boys" sleeping without their pacifiers. Stay Tuned...
I talked Phillip into taking the boys' pictures without pacifiers while they were sleeping. Carson cooperated and stayed asleep, but Hayden woke up for the picture (but quickly went back to sleep). They are such good boys!

Christy,
I just love to check your blog site and watch these boys grow up!
Keep it up for all of us that don't get to see you very often. Even if I only live in Pocahontas.
